Trent has been restoring and rebuilding classic cars at home since he was a teenager. He has been an automotive journalist and editor for more than 10 years starting with a staff role on the fledgling Auto Salon Magazine in Sydney. While in this role, Trent went on to become a judge on the national Auto Salon show series, judging some of Australia's most awarded show cars before stepping up to become the Editor of Auto Salon Magazine. As Editor in Chief/Brand Manager across Hot 4s, Zoom and HPI Magazines, Trent produced and presented a series of hour long DVDs for the Hot 4s brand. This time among the grassroots of the modified car culture in Australia gave Trent a strong understanding of the passion for the motor vehicle in this country across all ages. Trent’s final stop before arriving at Best Cars was at News Limited where he started as Deputy Editor on Overlander 4WD Magazine before taking over as Editor. While tending to Overlander, Trent headed up the judging on three 4WD Of The Year awards along with the annual Overlander Class Awards. He also test rode motorcycles for sister magazine 2Wheels and the various News Ltd newspapers around Australia. Trent has been with NRMA since early 2011 as a member of the road test team. Content the team generates appears online and in a variety of magazines across the NRMA multi media platforms. |
